So Porsche settled a major lawsuit involving dashboard glare

New York - Porsche owners whose cars were fitted with a beige interior are entitled to $50 and $175 to purchase sunglasses for a glare emanating from their dashboard according to MotorTrend.com

The reason? The settlement follows a class action lawsuit filed by owners who claim that the light-coloured interior of certain models between 2007 and 2016 emitted as glare which impaired their sight while driving .

According to Autoblog.com"Cognac, Luxor Beige, Natural Brown, Platinum Grey or Sand Beige interiors are defective and the glare is a factory flaw".

The lawsuit has a website dedicated to the claim and according to dashboardglareclassaction.com: "Claims under this Settlement for the reimbursement of polarized sunglasses must be made no later than September 21, 2017 and are subject to the terms of the Settlement."

Porsche has decided to settle out of court and denies that any accidents were caused by the glare.

Still keen on specifying a beige interior...
