After eight years, Porsche remains the company with the best image in Germany, a panel of 2 500 of the country's top executives have decided.
For the fifth time in succession, Porsche has been voted the winner of the "image profile" compiled every two years by German publication, Manager- Magazin.
Apart from general impressions, extra categories were added to this year's poll, including ethical behaviour, management quality, customer orientation, product and service quality.
The overall top three spots were all filled by automotive manufacturers. Porsche (with 893 points) beat off BMW (853 points) and Audi (850 points), while by Adidas, Google, Miele, Coca-Cola, Deutsche Lufthansa, Hugo Boss and Nokia rounded off the top ten.
Volkswagen, in which Porsche holds a share of just under 31 per cent, improved its ranking from 76 to 26. It was one of the companies with the greatest positive image development over the last two years.
