Stuttgart - Porsche is recalling close to 19 000 Cayennes globally, citing problems related to the SUV's fuel line.
It is possible that slight movements of the engine could cause a fuel line to brush against the engine compartment cladding.
This could cause a knocking sound and abrasion markings on the fuel line.
The worldwide recall affects 18 856 vehicles produced between November 30, 2006 and January 18, 2008.
Porsche will adjust the layout of the fuel line on affected models to avoid recurrences.
The manufacturer predicts that repair should require about 40 minutes.
Porsche SA has informed Wheels24 that while it is not a serious problem, four local vehicles are affected. Owners are being advised via telephone.
