New operations VP at Ford SA

Pretoria - Ford SA has appointed Ockert Berry as its vice-president of operations to replace Peter Lawson, who is retiring.

Berry joined FMCSA in 1991 as a supervisor in the paint shop and was responsible for training and guidance. He's held various positions in the company and in 2004 he was promoted to assistant plant manager.

He spent time with Ford Australia responsible for the factory quality system there but returned to SA in 2008 as plant manager and became responsible for the transformation of FMCSA's manufacturing operations, making the plant globally competitive.
