The Pentastar makes its comeback this week with the official launch of new Chrysler following its majority acquisition by Cerberus Capital Management.
Following the finalisation of the split from Daimler AG on August 3, Chrysler president and vice-chairman Tom LaSorda announced the appointment of Bob Nardelli as new company chairman and CEO on Tuesday.
Both executives said the manufacturer aimed at achieving long-term success rather than short-term expectations, and the company's new advertising campaign focuses on Chrysler's next 100 years.
Locally, DaimlerChrysler SA executives at the recent media launch of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class mentioned that Chrysler SA will function independently from the end of the year.
Thereafter, the new company will be supported by Daimler SA - this renaming is yet to be confirmed - for another three years.
