Mercedes-Benz is apparently planning to sell a Renault Kangoo-based small van from 2012.
Merc to try Renault for size
Bloomberg reports that the van will be assembled at a Renault plant in France as part of the manufacturers' co-operation agreement.
Mercedes’ parent Daimler and Renault with its alliance partner Nissan in April 2010 agreed to co-operate on future small and fuel-efficient vehicles.
According to sources, the Mercedes riding on a Renault platform should sell at "well under" €20 000 (about R190 000) when it reaches showrooms in Europe late in 2012.
