London gets serious about eco taxis

LONDON, England - eConnect Cars, one of only a few all-electric chauffeuring services operating in London, has taken delivery of seven Nissan Leafs with a further 14 to be delivered during 2014.

The company says it is helping to revolutionise the London taxi industry by providing 100% electric vehicles to business clients with every journey having zero exhaust emissions.

NO MORE POLLUTION

The company believes the Nissan Leaf is the best car as it provides a comfortable (and near-silent) journey. London is the ideal location to start enforcing greener solutions. The Leaf has zero emissions so won't add to the polluted environment.

A spokesperson said: “There’s a big window of opportunity to do things smarter when it comes to urban mobility. An electric fleet has been a way in for us.”
