Lamborghini races fighter jet

accreditation
The Ghedi military airport recently provided the setting for the ultimate showdown between a fighter jet and the awesome new Lamborghini Reventón.

The acceleration race between the Tornado aircraft and the Reventón super car was played out on a 3-km long runway.

Reventón was quickest off the line, but the Tornado caught up and took off as the car was doing in excess of 340 km/h.

The Italian performance showcase was arranged for the benefit of TV crews since Sant' Agata's latest creation is inspired by the fastest modern aircraft. This accounts for the car's overly aggressive styling with its sharp edges and clean surfaces.

Only 20 Reventóns will be built and, at a cost of about one million euros, every one of these cars has already been sold.
