Its dealers in 19 countries around the world sold almost 19 700 vehicles, 7.5% more than in December 2013.

Company president and CEO Roland Krueger said: "This result is a testament to Infiniti's potential in the premium vehicle market worldwide and demonstrates the successful work done by the Infiniti team around the world.”
In China, Infiniti's second-largest market, the company had another record year with more than 30 000 sales, up 76% over 2013. Infiniti vehicles are now assembled in China and its dealer chain there has grown from 66 to 85.
Infiniti claims to have become the fastest-growing premium brand in a number of key regions and markets in 2014, among them Westerrn Europe – where sales have almost double, the company says - the Middle East and Mexico.
Infiniti almost doubled its sales in Western Europe to 4800; sales in Asia and Oceania has also virtually doubled to more than 4600 and in Canada, the company says, it sold a record 10 000 through the year.
At the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in early January Infiniti will introduce its Q60 Concept, the company's take on a captivating two-door premium sports coupe.
Krueger added: "Infiniti has achieved a series of milestones in 2014 that sets an excellent foundation for 2015 as we continue to transform Infiniti into a global premium automotive brand."
