Infiniti continues global push
LUXURY NISSANS HEADED FOR BRAZIL: Infiniti will expand to Brazil by 2014 following successful launches in South Africa in 2012.
SAO PAULO, Brazil – Infiniti, a recent entrant in the South African auto market, has announced plans to begin sales of its models in Brazil by 2014. Infiniti is expanding rapidly across the globe.
Nissan's luxury division saw its global expansion in 2012 include Singapore, Chile, Dominican Republic, South Africa and Australia.
The automaker plans to enter China by 2013.
Brazilian drivers will be able to buy Infiniti models at vehicle centres in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Additional outlets are planned for the states of Santa Catarina and Paraná within three years.
The Brazilian expansion is the latest push for Infiniti which sells its models in 47 countries. The Brazilian centres will be designed according to the IREDI concept (Infiniti Retail Environment Design Initiative).
The IREDI centre sees the adoption of a combination lobby, lounge and gallery. Infiniti says its new centres are focused on a “Total ownership experience.”
Initially, the Infiniti model range in Brazil will comprise of the FX sport crossover, seven-seat JX and an all-new sports sedan which will be launched early 2013.

In 2011 Red Bull Formula 1 driver Sebastian Vettel was appointed Infiniti’s first Global Brand Ambassador.
