RETURN TO KENYA: Honda's new dealership in Nairobi, Kenya will open its doors early 2013.
Honda will continue its expansion in Africa with a new dealer in Nairobi, Kenya - the first in seven years.
The new facility will offer customers access to a wide range of Honda’s latest vehicles, including the soon-to-be-launched Brio entry-level hatchback and the new CR-V.
SUPPORT FROM SA
Honda Motor Southern Africa, based in Johannesburg, will provide products, parts, staff training and operating systems.
Graham Eagle, HSAF's director of sales and marketing, said: “We're delighted to bring Honda cars back to Kenya after such a long absence. Our return is an important step in our strategy of expansion, which has already seen the opening of our Honda East Africa representative office in Nairobi.”
The dealers is expected to open during the first quarter of 2013.
HSAF’s mandate from Honda Japan is to expand into sub-Saharan markets where the brand is not represented.
HSAF has expanded its own operational capability in the areas of dealer support staff, technical support and training. The automaker has added a research and development component to its operation.
