Dealership faces 'wedgie' lawsuit

Chicago, USA - We've all heard horror stories from dealerships messing with customers. Recently we reported that two technicians took a BMW 1M for a joyride before delivering it to the owner. At least in that instance the only damage was potentially to BMW's reputation.

A man alleges that five employees of Grossinger City Autoplex in Chicago physically attacked and verbally threatened him repeatedly in 2009, according to a suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court.

HANGING WEDGIE

The lawsuit alleges that man was strangled with a phone cord, repeatedly called a homosexual and threatened with violence.

Bizarrely the lawsuit is also seeking recompense for the claimant being subjected to a "hanging wedgie". If you're fortunate enough to have avoided school-yard bullies and so familiar with the term, a wedgie is having your underwear forcibly pulled up.

The 12-count lawsuit against the dealership seeks more than R4.2m in damages.

The dealership and its employees are to be considered innocent until proven guilty, but such a brutal suit could become a PR nightmare for Grossinger City Autoplex.
