BMW expert for Jag, Land Rover

Jaguar Land Rover SA has appointed a new national sales manager as part of its growth plan for the country.

Robin van Rensburg joins the Indian-owned British automakers as part of its latest series of senior appointments, among them board members. The group's staff has almost doubled in 2012.

Van Rensburg said: “It is an enormously exciting time for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, which brings its fair share of challenges and opportunities. We're on a path that needs to identify new customers for both brands."

Van Rensburg moves from BMW SA where he held the post of national sales operations manager. His experience has extended across various premium brands in the motor industry, including Mobil.

FORMIDABLE PRESENCE

“There’s no rocket-science secret to successful sales." he said. "Customer satisfaction is key in any sales environment, and it is a fantastic opportunity for Jaguar and Land Rover to capitalise on and expand their existing high standards as a dynamic and nimble player in the premium segment.

"We’re small enough to nurture customers, yet have formidable presence and clout in terms of product quality and appeal.”

Group MD Kevin Flynn said: “This appointment is the latest in a string of influential and senior motor industry people who have joined Jaguar Land Rover from some of SA's premium brands. It’s reinforcement of the appeal and prospects our brands hold and the exciting future for Jaguar Land Rover.”
