Prodrive, who along with a consortium owns Aston Martin, has sold 40% of its company to a Kuwaiti investment company.
The Investment Dar (TID) has been involved with UK-based motorsports and technology company Prodrive since 2007 when Prodrive's Dave Richards led a consortium to purchase Aston Martin from Ford. TID formed part of that consortium.
"They very much share our vision for the business and the passion for what we do. With their experience and understanding of the motor industry, they will play a significant role in the long term development of the business," said Richards.
Richards continues as Prodrive chairman, while TID’s Mahmoud Samy will join the company's board.
