The new RS4 combines a high-revving, V8 FSI engine with light-weight construction and cutting edge quattro technolgy to provide an unparalled driving experience.
Priced at R598 000, the new RS4 boasting numerous innovations for absolute superiority on both road and track.
The Audi RS4 continues the tradition of quattro GmbH by bridging the gap between motorsport and everyday motoring.
Power output is rated at 309 kW at 7 800 r/min with torque of 430 Nm peaking at 5 500 r/min. More than 90% of that torque figure is available from 2 200 r/min.
Putting this into perspective, the RS4 can race from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 16.6 seconds.
At full revs, the pistons travel 25m per second which is the same as the current Formula One racing cars.
During that same second, there are 550 injection and ignition sequences as well. Without a doubt, the Audi RS4 takes no prisoners, concluded Levine.
A further special feature is the Sport button.
When pressed, the control unit of the engine adapts the sensitivty of the throttle pedal and also makes the sound of the engine even more thundorous.
Pressing the Sport button also tightens the side sections of the front seats to keep the driver firmly in place.
New quattro system
The RS4 is the first Audi to feature a new generation of quattro permanent
four-wheel drive with asymmetric/dynamic distribution of torque, a concept particularly suitable for a sports car of the calibre of the RS4.
This means that in normal driving conditions, the power is split between the front and rear axles in a 40:60 configuration.
It also comes with an advanced chassis and suspension setup.
The Audi RS4 comes with Audi's DRC (Dynamic Ride Control) featured for the first time in the previous generation Audi RS6.
DRC serves to reduce both body roll and dive along the car's longitudinally and lateral axes.
Naturally the car comes well equipped with a host of standard comfort and safety features.
