Spy photographers captured images of Honda’s next Civic Type R undergoing testing in Europe.
The new model was spotted undisguised though without that huge rear wing seen on the concept car shown at the 2014 Beijing auto show in April and on prototypes snapped at the Nurburgring, Germany.
The near production-ready Civic Type R follows in the footsteps of the concept. As a result, it has an assertive body kit, modified bumpers, aerodynamic side skirts, and extended front fenders.

The model has also been equipped with a rear diffuser, four-tailpipe exhausts and golden alloys.
Power will be provided by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine could that develop 208kW. Honda has been coy on the official numbers but speculation suggests the final output could be around 238kW.
