Cape Town - Rebel Blue, Miami Blue, Cosmic Blue.... An all important question for petrolheads is deciding which paint colour looks the best on their chosen ride, and blue is becoming a popular choice for new models. In this article, I'd like to focus on Blue.

Growing up, my wardrobe consisted of mostly black-coloured clothing, much to mother's, and now my husband's, chagrin.

The colour blue has been catching my eye on the road, thanks to new hues and shades applied to new models.

Snapper Rocks blue?

Volvo's Polestar S60 is available in a magnificent Rebel Blue while Porsche has me smitten with its Miami shade among its colour palette.

Even Toyota has two brilliant colours for its new compact CH-R; Cosmic blue and Aztec green (which I guess is a more of a deep teal).

Earlier in July, BMW has launched its new 4 Series, available in a new shade - Snapper Rocks blue.

Take a look at some of these Blue paintjobs below: Which is your favourite?

1. Brilliant Sporty Blue on the Honda Civic Type R

2 Rebel Blue on the Volvo Polestar S60

3 Sapphire Blue on this Porsche Cayenne

4. Toyota's Cosmic Blue and Aztec Green on the CH-R

5 BMW's new Snapper Rocks Blue on the 4 Series

6 Porsche's Miami Blue is one of my absolute favourites!
