Gone in 80 seconds: Van theft from Ford

KRUGERSDORP, West Rand - A video posted on YouTube by the Krugersdorp News  shows armed robbers stealing a Ford Transit from a dealer in just 79 seconds.

CCTV video captured two armed men holding up a guard at the entrance to the Action Ford showroom in Krugersdorp, West Rand.

They had arrived in a silver Audi.

ROBBERY AT SPEED

After being dropped at the entrance at 8pm on July 20 the men approached the guardhouse where they held a guard at gunpoint and, the newspaper said, demanded the keys to a vehicle.

One suspect goes off-camera, the other keeps his weapon trained on the guard.

A white Transit van is then seen driving towards the entrance. One robber is driving, the other leaves in the silver Audi. The security guard then pressed the panic button, the paper replied.

The incident was the eighth experienced by the dealer since moving from the CBD to suburban Kenmare.

Police are investigating.
