Porsche's 991 was the greatest technical leap in the evolution of the automaker's 911.

The 911 is the epitome of Porsche models, with lower fuel-consumption and increased performance. This was due in part to the smaller 3.4 engine in the Carrera (developing more power than the second generation 997 3.6e) and its hybrid steel/aluminium construction.
