If you're want to make a statement on the golf course then
riding in on a Ferrari inspired golf buggy could earn you huge credit on the greens.
The electric Pennwick F5, inspired by the Ferrari Enzo sports car, has 15'' alloy rims, leather seats and a top speed of 36km/h. Its motor uses six eight-volt batteries and a six-hour charge lasts for three rounds of golf. It's made from heavy-duty glass fibre by US-based Pennwick and the is top of a range that include replicas of a Bentley Brooklyn, Rolls-Royce Shadow, a pimped-up Chevrolet 56 and the Smoothster, which is the cheapest at the equivalent of R104 000.
'DRIVES LIKE A SPORTS CAR'
Designer John Pennington said the F5 drives "more like a sports car than a golf buggy" because of its ClubCar chassis and said it was the first custom golf cart chiselled from classic Italian sports-car architecture.
”Nobody really needs an Italian sports car, but life is sure better when you have one," he said
A basic F5 will set you back the equivalent of R137 000 while the top of the range, which comes with a hard top and leather seats, is R196 000. Options include a stereo package, chromed tilt-steering column and gas chassis. The buggies have the same standard features and come with the same options, but are suited for each one.
Pennington was thrilled with the design of the F5, saying it's the best golf buggy yet made.

"It is the most exotic, desirable and simply awe-inspiring
luxury custom golf cart around - with handling far superior to anything else," he added.
