It might sound like the plot to a low budget sci-fi movie, but Canadian shoppers were recently greeted with a mechanical menace in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
A couple in Richmond Hill, Ontario, were returning from a car wash when they noticed a strange late-night gathering at the local Wal-Mart.
Curious, they stopped to see what the fuss was about and were confronted by a driverless John Deere tractor careening out of control in the parking lot.
To make matters worse, the tractor was outfitted with a snow plow and spent about five minutes causing havoc around the parking lot, bashing into a Suzuki SX4 and a Toyota Corolla.
Even the Wal-Mart suffered damage as the mechanical beast gouged through the side of the building, while police could do nothing but drive in circles.
Eventually the tractor hit a lamp post where someone was brave enough to climb aboard and end the wayward farm machine's rampage.
Watch the video below: What were the cops doing? Were they hoping the phantom driver would pull over?
