Las Vegas played host to the crazy stuntmen and women of the Nitro Circus, and event that included a number of world firsts - one of them a three-person back flip.
Nitro Circus has made a name for itself in Australia and New Zealand through its crazy stunts; not it's hit the US.
Travis Pastrana’s groundbreaking stunt was by no means the only show-stopper. Other world firsts included a synchronised double back flip, triple BMX backflip and a wheelchair front flip.
'IT' HOW FAR YOU CAN PUSH IT...'
There are no rules in the Nitro Circus. If it has wheels and can be pushed or driven down the 15m-high ramp then you can be sure the stuntmen will have a go at it – whether it be a Barbie car or a tricycle.
“It's how far can you push it, how far can you take it,” explained daredevil Travis Pastrana in an interview before the event. “You have a bunch of guys that when one guy tries something and gets close, instead of everyone going, 'Oh, that was stupid,' you have six more guys dropping in the ramp, like begging to be next to try that trick, to try to be the first to do it.”
The Nitro Circus is filming its tour in 3D and plans to release a feature film of their shenanigans. They are also busy planning the Nitro Circus Live European and North American tours which will take place in late 2012.
