Video: Hilarious SA car guard song

Car guards are as South African as blue light bullies and dodgy taxi drivers, but how many of us really bother to see life through the eyes of a carguard?

Our friendly car guards provide a service (sort of) and expect to be compensated for their hard work and, as a tribute, local South African band Derick Watts and The Sunday Blues (the guys who created the hilarious Rebecca Black Braaiday parody) are back with a new clip focused on the lives of car guards.

The video is a parody of artists Eminem and Rihanna’s "Love the way you lie" and is filmed in Cape Town. Lyrics include: "So now you return with that big sigh, handing me a R2 when I at least deserve a R5."

The video shows there's more to car guards than meets the eye as the hapless freelance vehicle security guys face off against cricket balls, angry drivers and even fends off ninjas attacking random vehicles.

All this for a R2!

Watch the video below: Look out for Just Jinjer’s Ard Matthews featured in the video.
