VW's new Corsa bakkie rival

Volkswagen in Brazil as unveiled a new version of the Saveiro, a small bakkie aimed at pickups such as the Opel Corsa Utility and Nissan NP200.
These first images of the small utility show that it follows the latest VW design trend as spearheaded by the new Scirocco and Golf VI.
One engine size is available providing two different power outputs depending on its fuel source. The 1.6-litre petrol unit develops 74kW while the ethanol version produces a slightly higher 77kW..
Three trim levels are available.
VWSA has confirmed that, since it is offered as left-hand drive only, this handsome little bakkie will not be coming to SA. Pity.
