VW tops gay car list

A US website, www.gaywheels.com, devoted to gay people has come out with a list of cars that it says are the most popular among its readers.

The list captured data gathered between July 1 and September 30, 2008.

According to website the most researched car this year is the Volkswagen's Rabbit (Golf). Second on the list is another Volkswagen, the Eos coupe-cabriolet.

Mazda’s MX-5 and the Audi A3 Sportback are tied for third place. The fourth position is a tie between sedans, the Mazda3 and VW Jetta.

The fifth most researched vehicle is the Toyota Yaris, while sixth place was split again between the Dodge Caliber and Saab 9-3.
 
Volvo's C30 came seventh, while the Smart ForTwo appears destined for the alternative lifestyle in eighth place.
 
Tied for ninth is Mini Cooper and Toyota Matrix, while Maserati's GranTurismo is number 10.
