After taunting us with teaser after teaser of its first retractable hardtop convertible, Ferrari has officially introduced its new California to more than 1 000 guests.
The world premiere of the all-new Ferrari was presented at two separate events - the first at its home in Maranello and the second in Los Angeles, California.
The Maranello event was hosted by company president Luca di Montezemolo at the manufacturer's new factory building where images depicting the history of the Prancing Horse were displayed along the walls.
Scuderia Ferrari drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa were also present at the event where Michael Schumacher, who was involved in the development of California, was on hand to detail the new Granturismo's athletic qualities and its flexibility.
The second event was hosted at the private airport in Santa Monica where the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, was a guest of honour.
Ferrari California was unveiled exclusively on a dedicated website in May. View the video footage of the Maranello unveiling here.
