Dodge dealers recently started taking orders for the limited-edition Challenger SRT8 models.
Each car will feature a numbered dash plaque and sport a 6.1-litre Hemi V8 engine.
The Challenger SRT8 will only be available in Black, Silver and Hemi Orange. The all-new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 will be built at Chrysler's Brampton plant in Ontario, Canada where it will share an assembly line with the Dodge Charger, Magnum and Chrysler 300 and derivatives.
SRT performance vehicles, of which several are available in South Africa, include the Dodge Viper SRT10, Dodge Caliber SRT4, Dodge Magnum SRT8, Dodge Charger SRT8, Chrysler 300C SRT8, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, and now, the Dodge Challenger SRT8.
All models are engineered by Chrysler's in-house performance arm, Street and Racing Technology.
