The Goodwood Revival for 2012 in the UK promises to showcase the finest collection of authentic AC Cobras yet assembled to celebrate 50 years of Carroll Shelby’s cult sports car.
The slither of AC Cobras will gather at the event over September 14-16, 2012, for an exceptional one-model race in which 30 Cobras and their derivatives will line up on the grid.
TWO-DRIVER CONTEST
A mix of historically-significant Cobras, including some examples of Cobra-based coupes, are also expected to make their appearances.
The all-Cobra race will take the form of a 45-minute, two-driver contest with driver changes at 15 and 30 minutes.
Given the AC Cobra’s long association with Goodwood, organisers of the Revival hope Shelby himself will attend the 2012 show, although this has not yet been confirmed, they said.
