Women's 800m champion Caster Semenya has landed a herself the role of a brand ambassador for Great Wall Motors in South Africa.
According to The Sowetan, Semenya has been sponsored with a GWM CB150 ME sort ultility vehicle for the duration of 2011.
GWM handed the 19-year-old the MPV with her picture and name branded on its sides during an event in Midrand, north of Johannesburg. The 1.6 CB150 ME is a five-seater MPV that sells for R129 999.
Though Semenya does not have a valid driver’s licence she appreciates the vehicle she has received. "While I'm working on getting my licence, someone will drive me around. I really appreciate this car because, though I didn't mind taking taxis, at least now I'll also have a bit more privacy."
