One of the world’s most advanced and best-loved sports sedans, the Alfa Giulia, was launched on June 17 1962 and tributes for this iconic Italian ride will be held around the world.
Alfa Romeo's Giulia was a stylish, technologically advanced sedan and from 1962-77 the Italian automaker sold a million of them.
In celebration of the Giulia's 50th anniversary, Alfa has created a special logo.
LOCAL CLUBS CELEBRATE
Alfa Romeo clubs around the world will pay tribute to this iconic model. Earlier in June 2012, the Alfa Romeo Club of Natal shared their special birthday bash with us.

Not to be outdone by their Eastern Cape rivals, the Cape Alfa Romeo Club will host a special celebration of its own. Club spokeperson Steven de Kock says his group will be celebrating the Giulia 50th as well as the Alfetta and Alfasud 40th anniversaries on August 5 2012 as part of the club's annual Cento Miglia (meaning 160km) event.
De Kock said: "The Cento Miglia is open to all Alfa Romeo owners and their families, especially those with the models celebrating their anniversaries, so please bring them along."
The event is being organised as a family outing to be held at the Aphrodesiac Shack, near the Theewaterskloof Dam in the Western Cape. De Kock said: "The dam edge is some 10m from the facility and has plenty to do as well as lots of space for the youngsters to play, including jumping castle."
Owners of the “birthday” cars need to forward the VIN/Chassis numbers of their vehicle, as well as the owner’s details to receive to a certificate, anniversary stickers and a complimentary bottle of wine labeled for the occasion.
