Cape Town - A taxi driver has been shot dead by a commuter after he refused to stop to drop the passenger.
The Cape Times reported that George Green, 53, was shot five times in the back on the corner of Belrail and Oos roads in Bellville around 10am on Sunday.
Warrant Officer November Filander said one of the passengers asked to be dropped off at the intersection but Green was reluctant as it was not a designated area.
Green eventually pulled over and was then shot in the back by the man, who fled the scene.
No arrests had been made.
