I'm with Cleverdick on this one. I have a yellow 1977 Datsun Stanza and ever since the car hit 400 000 KMS, the fuel gauge has been faulty. Last week the gauge was showing empty, but it still had 2 liters of fuel in the tank... |
I had a fuel gauge problem on my 4.0 v6 Nissan Navara 2006 - gauge was replaced - would read almost empty - but will fill up still had 15 - 16 litres left. Come on Nissan - be honest there were some issues with the fuel gauges |
The fuel gauge on my 1979 Datsun Pulsar, with 312 432 KMS on the clock is faulty. Does the Nissan recall cover me? |
I received a letter from Nissan. Xtrails were to be recalled to fix something with the Fuel Tank and Steering Rack. I own a 2009 Model. When u spend close to 300k on a vehicle you expect all to be fine... |
Clinton, I can not agree more, i have a 2008Livina X-gear the Carpet is peeling off from all places. it is a pity i like the car but the worksman on it is not uo to std. Nissan should recall if. i also agree with Fuelgaugeman they did not except that it was a general problem. but most people i know who owne these cars has had a similar issue |
Having owned a Nissan Grand Livina, I must say there is problems with the fuel gauge and well the entire quality |
They call it a Nissin 'cause somethin's missin' |
I agree with Charl, and remember dont point fingers as there are always fingers pointing back to you. At least TOYOTA is always prepared to put there money where there mouth is and look after there customers. We are always prepared to advertise our recalls as we want to make sure our customers come first and the problems are solved in a profesional manner.thats what makes us the best. I don't know of many products that don't have problems, maybe you can name some for me.tell the so called big boys to accept the other manufacturers are better and let them carry on and repair and proove why they are the best. NOT JUST BIG MOUTH.AND AS FOR CLINTONV WHAT DO YOU DRIVE OR KNOW (SHAME) |
Heh heh heh heh!! I see Toyota now has to recall 1.3 Million cars (on top of the 8.5 Million recalled for safety defects) for oil leaks. Toyota's got so used to recalling their vehicles (Worlds most recalled brand for last 4 years running) that they're now trying to call their recalls 'Service Campaigns' if it isn't a recall *specifically* involving a safety critical part (accelerator/brakes, steering, etc.). That's the best PC speak we've seen for a long time! "Lead the way" indeed, boys, "Lead the way"! :-)) |
I had to have my fuel gauge replaced on my 2009 Model (and not without some serious effort on my side, they seriously did not want to accept it was an issue even though after filling up it showed 2/5ths only) |
Let us not compare recalls on other models in the past 2 years that had worst faults.japanese cars in general are good cars.those who says otherwise must think before they talk. |
Where there is smoke? We in R.S.A are paying through our noses for new vehicles and along comes the manufacturers and recalls cars! Why don't they spend some of the billions and do proper research and testing on new vehicles.recall shouldn't happen at all! |
I should take in my 1984 model for them to see how they used to build motor vehicles. |
I am still waiting for Fiat to issue a recall. We experienced sudden acceleration on a 1.6 Mulipla which shaes the same engine with the Palio, Sienna etc. Fiat coudnt sort out my problem and I ended up selling the vehicle. Incidently, the service from Fiat is shoddy. |
Jap Crap...cant trust cheaply made cars, It seems after WWII that JAPS strike HARD in the USA...payback....lol |
My car did have the inaccurate fuel gauge problem. so Nissan stop lying to the puplic. i still love my car but lyes will drive me to something else next time i purchase |
Two months ago I received a letter from Nissan SA . They did a recall on the Qashqai and Tiida. They fitted a small plate to the steering rack. Seems some of the cars lost their steering! Strange that no newspaper mentioned this recall... |
