New strokes for Citroën's Picasso

TIME FOR CHANGE: The Grand was launched at the 2006 Paris auto show, while the five-seater followed in early 2007.
Citroën’s versatile range of C4 Picasso MPVs is putting on a bold new face – and tail – for 2011.
The quirky MPV – in five-seater C4 Picasso and seven-seater Grand C4 Picasso configurations – is subject to running changes that also include LED running lights, a new double-chevron logo on wheel covers and alloy rims, remote door-release device and a new bonnet.
The two derivatives now also share their front bumper; the MPV's have been given a further style injection with the addition of black surrounds for the new tail lights.
There are two levels of trim for the C4 Picasso – Attraction and Seduction – while the Grand C4 is offered in Seduction only.
BIG AND BOLD
Standard equipment on the Attraction "base" model includes aircon, RDS audio system with MP3 compatibility and steering-wheel remote controls, hill-start assistance and traction control.
UPDATED: Changes for 2011 include new light clusters, front and rear.
The high-spec Seduction models add dual-zone auto aircon, USB and Bluetooth.
Protection features include anti-lock brake and front and side crash bags.
Both body styles are powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine capable of 88kW and 160Nm through a five-speed manual transmission.
Citroën quotes a top speed of 185km/h. Fuel consumption on the combined cycle is claimed to be 6.9 litres/100km.
The Citroën C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso are covered by a three-year or 100 000km warranty and five-year or 100 000km service plan. A full maintenance plan is optional.
