The 1.5 millionth unit of Fiat's cuddly Panda has rolled off the manufacturer's Tychy, Poland, assembly line.
More than 93% of the award-winning mini-MPV has been exported to 74 countries and the Panda is available in South Africa with a choice of 1.1, 1.2 and 1.4-litre engines.
The special Panda was a 1.3 Multijet in magnetic blue that has been ordered by an Italian customer.
Production of the Panda at Tychy began in 2003. One car rolls off its lines every 35 seconds and the plant is forecast to produce nearly 600 000 cars in 2009.
