The range-topping ST will feature some of the revisions rolled out on the rest of the range. And while it packs new features and technologies, the car's dynamic edge is said to remain unchanged.
The ST's power is still sourced from the family turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder Duratec motor that busts the 0 - 100 km/h sprint time in 6.8 seconds. And it has lapped the fabled Nordschleife circuit at the Nurburgring in 8 minutes 35 seconds. Not bad?
As expected, ESP and traction control are standard on the three- and five-door bodystyles.
In the UK, where ST goes on sale today, the car comes with sports styling, 18-inch alloy wheels, Recaro sports seats, a sports steering, new instrumentation, a capless refueling system and a Ford Power starter button.
A tyre pressure monitor, auxiliary audio input, voice control and new navigation systems are listed as options.
It is unclear when the revised Ford Focus ST will be available in South Africa, though.
