Man drives unlicensed for 58 years

Nantes, France - French police who stopped a 79-year-old man on Wednesday discovered that he had been driving without a licence for nearly 60 years.
The was travelling with his wife near the Atlantic coast about 45km from Nantes.
"The offender signed up for driving school in 1952 but never passed his test," a police source told Reuters.
The driver told police his wife usually did the driving, which explained why insurance papers for the car were in order.
"It means that he had been driving for 58 years without committing any offence and following the rules of the road," the source said.
