A 39-year-old man has been arrested in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, for being in possession of seven stolen vehicles.
Lieutenant-Colonel Andrè Trautsaid said on Wednesday that, acting on a tip-off, Cape Town central vehicle identification and safeguarding section police raided the man's home on Tuesday.
They found two vehicles with altered identifiers and later established they had been stolen earlier this year.
Another five stolen cars with forged registration papers were also seized.
Traut, asked if the man was part of a syndicate, said "police were "nvestigating all possibilities at the moment".
