Mercedes-Benz previewed its next-generation E-Class as the Fascination concept at October's Paris Motor Show, but studio shots of the new car have now been released.
Several spy shots of Merc's executive sedan have been doing the rounds, but what appears to be official images of the new car reveal that its exterior styling will take on a more dramatic edge while not alienating traditional fans.
Significantly, the four-lens headlamps clusters seen on the current E remain a feature, although lights are now more squared off and wrap around.
The family resemblance, particularly to the flagship S-Class, is evident though.
The all-new E-Class sedan is expected to be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2009. It will be followed by Coupe and Estate derivatives and, later still, the performance E63 AMG.
