Lamborghini has teamed with luxury watchmaker Blancpain to create yet another limited edition Gallardo LP 570-4 to honour the partners’ Super Trofeo racing series.
Built in the spirit of the Super Trofeo race car, the limited edition is "one hundred percent road-going" and was presented at the final race meeting of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo at Vallelunga on Sunday.
The special car, said to be the lightest road-going Lamborghini at 1340kg, channels the spirit of the competition with its huge rear spoiler for maximum stability and an engine cover that doubles as ventilation.
Matte black paintwork matches the carbon-fibre components and the Skorpius wheels show off yellow-painted brake callipers and carbon-ceramic composite brakes.
The sportiness is carried across to the interior which is finished in black Alcantara with yellow accents.
The Blancpain edition, like the Superleggera model, is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 with 419kW on tap to take the car from 0-100km in 3.4 seconds before hitting its top speed of around 320km/h.
More details are expected to follow at the Paris auto show.
Wheels24 will be at the show to bring you the latest coverage.
