This model of the Lamborghini Reventon is just for your pint-sized, playing pleasure.
The remote-controlled Reventon is a 1:10 scale model of the real, all-wheel drive Lamborghini, controlled by a two-channel radio. It's a petrol-powered radio-controlled car with a two-stroke 3cc engine. It also has a two-speed transmission, independent suspension, hydraulic shock-absorberss and single-disc brakes.
By contrast, the real car sells for just more than R10-million, making it a little difficult for the average Joe to get his hands on the steering wheel of this beauty. There were only 20 built and every one was sold.
As one of the most exclusive cars in the world, the open-top sports car with its 6.5-litre, 12-cylinder engine generates 493kW and can shoot from 0-100km/h in 3.4sec and onwards to a top speed of 330km/h.
Only 65 of the De Agostini babies will be sold and while mum’s the word on the price, it’s an opportunity to test-drive a Reventon in a whole new way.
