The rear-wheel drive coupe is largely based on Hyundai?s new Genesis sedan unveiled in Korea this year, with which it shares a platform, engines and gearboxes.
The base model will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine and top-of-the-range models will feature a 3.8-litre V6. The sedan's 4.6-litre V8 is expected to join the line-up at a later stage.
All cars will be fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, with options of five- or six-speed automatics.
The 2+2 seater's interior has a futuristic centre hangdown with a large LCD display and a pod design for the instrument cluster.
The Genesis Coupe is being aimed mainly at the US and Korean markets, but could become available in right-hand drive for UK buyers.
