Hyundai has announced that its range-topping i40 will have its world premiere at the Geneva auto show in March, 2011.
Controversially, the car will be launched as an estate, the sedan following later in the year.
It's the product of Hyundai’s European R&D facilities in Russelsheim, Germany, and was specifically developed for the European market, the company said.
'BOLD AMBITIONS'
The i40 is set to become Hyundai’s most innovative model. According to the automaker, it will be equipped with the latest environmental technologies, thanks to Hyundai’s Blue Drive eco-programme, and have a range of power trains offering best-in-class performance and fuel economy.
Allan Rushforth, vice-president of Hyundai Motor Europe, said: “We have bold ambitions for Hyundai in Europe. The i40 will provide the momentum we need to achieve our goals in 2011 and beyond. We expect the quality of the i40 to continue the development of our image in Europe and attract new customers to the Hyundai brand."
More details about the i40 will be made available close to the start of the 2011 Geneva show; when we get them, so will you.
