DRIVERS TO DIG DEEP: Given Krugel's estimation the latest hike will increase the pump price in Gauteng to R13.08 (93 ULP) and R12.87 (LRP). At the coast this will mean R12.69 (93 ULP) and R12.73 (LRP).

PRETORIA - The national energy department has announced that the retail price of all grades of petrol will increase by 81 cents a litre from March 6 2013.

The price of desel with 0.05 and 0.005% sulphur content will rise by 58.3c/litre.

The wholesale price of paraffin will go up by 57c/litre.

The department said that during the period under review the average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin had increased.
