While it differs from the local Honda Accord, the US-spec model should reveal some key details.
The sedan is completely redesigned for 2008 and features increased dimensions for a more spacious interior with increased leg- and elbowroom.
Quality has also been addressed and the new Accord is, according to the manufacturer, more upscale than before.
In the US, Accord is available either a 2.4-litre four-cylinder or a 3.5-litre V6 powerplant. Transmissions include five- and six-speed manuals and a five-speed automatic gearbox.
Accord rides on a double wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear. This, coupled with wider 16- or 17-inch wheels, ABS and standard VSA (vehicle stability control), should ensure better handling and increased driver confidence.
