Bus drivers are often scorned because of their driving habits, especially in South Africa, where bus crashes have become a recurring issue.
Given rising fuel costs, more people now rely on public transport. Which is why it's important to have bus drivers with good driving skills and a knowledge of what to do during and after an accident.
NEED MORE HEROES
One such is Mao Zhihao of China. A CCTV camera on his bus caught his close shave with death when a falling lamp pole smashed through his windscreen. The video shows how the pole actually hits Mao, although his reflexes helped avoid too much damage.
He's been hailed as a hero for stopping the bus and help passengers to alight.
