LONDON, England - A businessman based in Norwich, eastern England, has paid the equivalent of about R190 000 for the rights to the vehicle registration number 1 HFH.
So? you might ask. Well, you see it's for his now five-week-old son.
'HAD TO HAVE IT'
The successful bidder, who wished to remain anonymous, bought the registration during the second day of a vehicle licence department auction at the Williams F1 Conference Centre in Oxfordshire, southern England.
He said: “When I was told 1 HFH was being auctioned I just had to have it.
"It’s a great investment, though to be truthful I don’t think it’ll ever be sold. I’m just going to keep it for my son, it’ll be his car on the day he’s old enough to have one."
We can only speculate on the youngster's name... but we bet it isn't Harry Fred.
