DETROIT, Michigan - US automakers Ford, Chevrolet and Jeep showed off new models at the 2013 North American Auto Show. Apart from the 59 models making their global debut in Detroit, automakers were keen to show off nostalgic touches on their 2013 vehicles.
The headlights of the new Chevrolet Corvette has the brand's crossed-flag logo. The utilitarian Ford Connect has the US automaker's Blue Oval logo contained in a seven-sided shape.

The 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a vintage miniature Jeep silhouette and the phrase "Since 1941", referring to the year that wartime Jeeps began production.
IHS automotive analyst Rebecca Lindland says: "It's intriguing that designers are laying this kind of jewellery in just that small spot and in the process attracting buyers and providing recognition on the road."
