A truck hauling industrial printer cartridges rolled on a ramp in Massachusetts in the US and dumped tons of printing ink across a highway.
No other vehicle was involved and the driver was not injured.
Around 7.2 tons of ink cartridges were bound for a newspaper company in Portland when the truck crashed.
The ink is not considered hazardous but an environmental cleaning company was sent to attend to the spill after it reached two storm drains.
Joe Ferson, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, said the ink was not flammable but workers were wearing protective gear to avoid skin contact.
“Any powder may cause respiratory problems,” he warned.
