Boastful Bentley on Alpine slopes

CHAMPION: Ski joring expert and 16-time champion Franco Moro tucks in behind a Continental GT.

We realise South Africa’s not really the top pick for Alpine sports, but these videos of Bentley Continentals taking on some top ski talent in Switzerland certainly had us itching to build a few snowmen.

The Continental GT and GTC showed off the British cars’ all-wheel driving abilities on some frozen Alpine passes in Switzerland’s Saanenland region.

SNOW FUN

Ski joring expert Franco Moro, World champion 16 times with 27 years experience, was on hand to demonstrate this Alpine sport, which usually involves strapping on skis and being pulled behind a horse.

This time around Moro, on a pair of zai for Bentley skis, was attached to the back of a Continental GT with a 423kW, six-litre W12 engine. His advice to first-timers: ‘Hold on tight!’

Bentley’s ski partner zai offered more exhilaration on the piste, although you should probably check out the videos for more detail.
