Bentley ramps up new models

Bentley will accelerate its new model launches by six months, hoping to stem record losses with a fresh wave of products.

After years of growth, the Volkswagen subsidiary recorded a 24% drop in global sales last year. Worldwide production for 2009 has reportedly been cut to 5 000 units.

According to Automotive News, the next generation Bentley Continental GT will probably be replaced in 2010 rather than one year later.

The coupe, which was first launched in 2004, is largely credited with the brand's recent revival.

The new Continental GT will be followed by the next generation Flying Spur sedan and the Continental GTC convertible.
